King Charles, Queen Camilla never met Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors: Here’s why
King Charles, Queen Camilla’ trip to the US was marred with questions about not paying a visit to survivors and here’s why
During King Charles and Queen Camilla’s State Visit to the US many calls were made, urging them to meet with the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, but that never came to pass and finally the real reason has come to the surface and it has nothing to do with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor or his connection to the financer and child sex offender.
For those unversed, the entire idea was “impossible” right from the get go, the reason was legality.
While speaking to RadarOnline one source was even quoted saying, “there is enormous sympathy from Charles and Camilla for survivors and a recognition of the courage many have shown in speaking publicly about their experiences. However, there was also an understanding that the King must operate within strict constitutional boundaries.”
The real reason he decided to step back and not visit was because “any engagement that could be perceived as intersecting with ongoing legal processes or official assessments creates difficulties,” which the same source pointed out. Moreover, “the position taken was that avoiding any potential complication by meeting victims was ultimately in the best interests of everyone involved.”
It is even more important to maintain such distance another pointed out because the monarchy is still dealing with its own worries, especially the “reputational fallout” as the source calls it, from the Epstein affair, “and the scandal around Andrew is still raging. Any decision connected to that subject is examined intensely, which inevitably makes planning around it extremely complicated.”
its also being said, “officials carefully considered the suggestion of Charles and Camilla meeting Epstein survivors, but the conclusion remained a meeting of that nature was not appropriate during the US visit. That guidance was consistent throughout the planning process.”
Before concluding they also highlighted the two biggest issues and said, “there is complete recognition of the significance of the survivors' experiences and the importance of their pursuit of justice. At the same time, there is concern that any engagement involving the King could create unintended complications while official inquiries and legal considerations remain active against his younger brother.”
