Woman shot dead in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: Two gunmen shot dead a woman in the Manki Sharif area here on Wednesday.Police officials said Naeem, a resident of Upper Dir currently living in Manki Sharif, reported the incident to the police at Qazi Hussain Medical Complex. He stated that he received information that his mother, Asiya Bibi, was heading towards their village when she was ambushed in the Tarkanan area.

The assailants, identified as Bakht Budin, son of Nizamuddin, a resident of Upper Dir, along with an unknown accomplice, allegedly opened fire on Asiya Bibi, killing her on the spot. Her body was shifted to Qazi Hussain Medical Complex, where police completed post-mortem procedures before handing it over to the family.Naeem further mentioned that their family had a longstanding enmity with the accused.
