ISLAMABAD: The grey structure of three blocks of the Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH) building, which had been delayed since 1992, has been completed.
The foundations of the remaining three blocks have been prepared. Work on the remaining blocks of the building at a cost of Rs 1886 million was resumed during the last financial year. Over Rs563 million were released during the last financial year with additional grant which was spent on the project. The work of the project has been transferred to CDA after PWD was abolished. The PMNH management has requested account details from the CDA so that the money could be transferred to it. According to PMNH officials, Rs105 million for the first two quarters of the current financial year have been received which will be transferred to CDA, so that the rest of the project could be completed as soon as possible. It should be noted that the PC1 of this project was prepared in 2021 but the work on it started during the last financial year. When contacted, PMNH Director General Dr. Saima Huma Tanveer said that they were trying to complete the project at the earliest.
