Benazir Bhutto paid glowing tributes on 17th anniversary
TAKHTBHAI: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) marked the death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto at Hathian House, the residence of late senior leader Rahimdad Khan, here on Sunday.
PPP leaders and workers from across the district attended the ceremony in large numbers.PPP Mardan district president Asadullah Khan, general secretary Namdar Khan Shagai, former district nazim Asad Khan Kashmiri, provincial vice president Shoaib Alam Khan Khattak, Pir Abid Ali Shah Bacha, Sajjad Ali Khan, Shah Hussain advocate, Syed Badshah Mohmand, Aslam Khattak, Nawab Ali Khan, Irshad Aziz, Sajid Khan Paindakhel and others spoke on the occasion.
The speakers paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for her services to democracy, the country and the nation.They highlighted the matchless sacrifices she had rendered for the nation and democracy, saying that these sacrifices were well-known and acknowledged by the masses.
The speakers said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and their family dedicated their lives to the rights of the poor, the oppressed, and democracy, ensuring the supremacy of the parliament and the integrity of the country.
They criticised the so-called politicians like Imran Khan and his allies for prioritising personal political interests over national integrity. They accused foreign powers, particularly the West, of attempting to interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs and undermine its nuclear programme.
The PPP leaders vowed to stand as a formidable force against such conspiracies, emphasizing their role as a patriotic and nationwide political party.Special prayers were offered for the souls of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and members of Bhutto family and PPP Mardan’s veteran leader and renowned activist Ashrafuddin Lala.
