FAISALABAD: A trader was shot dead and his son was injured on resistance by dacoits at Chak 235/RB, Niamoana. Trader Sarwar Kharal and his son Usman were on way when the dacoits intercepted them and tried to rob them, but they resisted. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot Sarwar dead and injured his son.
PRISONER DIES IN HOSPITAL: A 55-year-old prisoner, Abdul Ghaffar, died while undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital. He was arrested on drug-related charges and fell ill while incarcerated.
