Pak-Russia counter-terror exercise concludes
Special Forces of Pakistan Army and 54 all ranks from Russian Army participated in the drill, says ISPR
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Russia conducted their joint exercise Druzhba-VII, focusing on counter-terrorism at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi, which concluded on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
Special forces of the Pakistan Army and 54 ranks from the Russian Army participated in a two-week exercise which started on the 13th of this month. Inspector General Training and Evaluation (IGT&E), Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah was chief guest at the closing ceremony. Russian Ambassador, Albert P. Khorev, also attended the ceremony.
Troops displayed the highest standards of professionalism during the conduct. The exercise was aimed at refining drills, procedures and techniques, besides harnessing the historic military-to-military relations among friendly countries.
