PESHAWAR: A number of people broke into the office of District Education Officer and after threatening the staff ransacked the office on

Saturday.

A video of the ransacked office was circulating on social media in which the staff members said that a number of people led by Tehsil nazim Mathra ransacked the office over the issue of transfer of some employees.

The staff said the workers pushed the employees and ransacked the office before they escaped.

The employees said the transfers and postings were being made under the rationalization policy. The provincial education minister took notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry into it.
