Champions Cup from September 12
LAHORE: The Champions One-Day Cup, featuring 150 of Pakistan’s finest cricketers, is to take place at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad from September 12 to 29.
Organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), this premier 50-over tournament will kick off with an exciting clash between the Wolves and Panthers.
A PCB official revealed that the tournament will follow a single-league format, ensuring a highly competitive environment where every match counts. “A total of 14 matches will be played, with most games commencing at 3:00 PM to take advantage of the cooler evening hours. However, the match on September 16 between the Lions and Panthers will be an exception, starting earlier at 9:30 AM local time.
“The top teams will battle it out in three playoffs, scheduled over four intense days, culminating in the grand final on Sunday, September 29, 2024.”
