Zakaria Ali Shah made additional secretary in Power Division
Shah has been appointed in place of Zafar Abbas, who has been transferred to Petroleum Division
ISLAMABAD: A BS-21 officer Syed Zakaria Ali Shah of the Secretariat Group has been transferred and posted as additional secretary in the Power Division with an immediate effect, according to a notification issued here on Wednesday.
Shah has been appointed in place of Zafar Abbas, BS-21, who has been transferred to the Petroleum Division as additional secretary (Policy Wing).
Shah was earlier transferred to the Ministry of Defence Production. He also rendered his services as Joint Secretary Development in the Petroleum Division. After that, he was transferred to the Ministry of National Food Security and Research. He has also been made a member by the prime minister in the Task Force on Implementing Structural Reforms in the Power Sector.
The task force will identify and oversee the implementation of structural reforms in the power sector to reduce the financial burden of the sector being borne by the federal government.
