Child labour has become very common in our country now with millions of children in Pakistan working long hours in various occupations to support their families. Who can we hold responsible for the plight of these children? Should we blame the poor parents who compel them to toil? As per my perspective, parents should not be blamed for child labour in our country.
It is the government’s ineffective policies that have pushed the country into an abyss of inflation and poverty that creates the conditions for child labour. It is high time now that our leaders stopped blaming each other for our problems and devised a comprehensive plan to better cope with the challenges.
