Socio-Economic Registry project launched in Punjab: Registered citizens eligible for all social protection programmes
Under project, financial status of total number of houses and every family would be registered across province
LAHORE: The Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) project has been launched in the province.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz issued directions to commissioners and deputy commissioners through video-link and assigned a monitoring task to the deputy commissioners with regard to PSER project. Under the project, financial status of total number of houses and every family would be registered across the province. People can get themselves registered through a portal by sitting at their homes in a village or a city and can also contact Helpline No. 02345-0800.
The livestock will be included in the registration process as well. Five thousand registration centres have been established for the PSER project across the province. People can also enter their credentials for registration on the online web portal www.pser.punjab.gov.pk. After registration, people would be eligible for the social protection project. The registered citizens would be eligible to apply in the e-bike, Roshan Gharana solar programme, Himmat card, Kissan card, Health card, Livestock card, Scholarship Programme and in other social protection programmes. The CM said, “We have simplified the registration process in the Socio-Economic Registry Project. This project will enable the government to timely resolve problems of the people.”
Separately, CM Maryam Nawaz, in her message on the World Hepatitis Day, said: “Environment free from contamination and provision of clean drinking water save many from multiple diseases. The number of Hepatitis B and C patients is increasing rapidly and we need to undertake collective efforts along with preventive measures for their complete eradication.”
The CM said, “Vaccination facility for the prevention of hepatitis along with free test facility is available in all hospitals across Punjab.” She appealed to citizens to adhere to all essential preventive measures so as to prevent themselves from hepatitis.
She added, “Introducing waste management system in every city of Punjab will enable citizens to prevent themselves from hepatitis and other ailments.”
