Three held for stealing infant’s body from grave
LAHORE: The police detained three people, including a security guard, in connection with the disappearance of an infant's body from the Miani Sahib graveyard the day after the burial.
The incident took place on April 23, after which the police registered a case against unknown persons. Five individuals were nominated by the complainant on suspicion of stealing the child's body. Police said that the body of the three-month-old baby was removed from the grave by unknown persons a few hours after the burial. The child's father, Abdul Rahman, saw the shroud emerging from the grave the next day and informed the police.

LAHORE: Around nine persons died while 1,535 sustained injuries in 1,401 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 691 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 844 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams. —Correspondent
