LAHORE: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Ammara Athar Wednesday said the licencing system of City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) will remain closed from May 23rd till May 27th owing to up-gradation of Driving Licence Issuance Management System.
During the period, learners permit, renewal, fresh licences and international licences will not be issued. The CTO said citizens could visit the licencing centres after May 27th and citizens will be kept updated through RASTA FM, App and other social media accounts.
Four driving schools set up for women
The City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) Wednesday established four driving schools for women. The driving schools have been established as LOS Ferozpur Road, Abshar Driving School Jail Road, Liberty Khidmat Markaz and Manawan Traffic Police Lines.
Regular driving classes are being held in the schools from 8 am till 4 pm. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Ammara Athar said Ride for Change programme also continued. Under Women on Wheels Project and Ride for Change women were being trained in different colleges, universities and schools.
