Punjab govt set to use latest tech to end smog

MULTAN: The Punjab government has decided to eliminate smog and pollution by equipping farmers with the latest equipment and machinery to end the threats of smog and pollution.
The government has decided to provide farmers with clean seeders, and shredders. 599 Pak Seeders and 200 Shredders will be provided in the Multan Division, commissioner Maryam Khan said at a meeting on Thursday.
Burning crop residues affects the fertility of land and causes pollution, she said. The implementation of the mega plan of smog removal has been started in the. Agriculture machines for crop residue destruction and rice cultivation without setting fire will be provided, she said, and ordered action against those who set fire to crop residues.
