Islamabad: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) conducted an awareness seminar at IMCG (PG), F-7/4, Margala College, here on Monday.
The seminar, titled ‘Savings and Investment – Pathway to a Better Future,’ was part of SECP's ongoing financial literacy and investor awareness drive, 'Jamapunji'. Joint Director SECP Murtaza Abbas led the seminar, focusing on educating students and faculty members about the importance of savings and investments for long-term financial security. The seminar aimed to cover various key areas including Introduction to Savings and Investment, Emphasizing the significance of saving and investing early for financial stability and Types of Investments. Providing an overview of investment options such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, along with understanding the associated risks and returns.
Investment Planning: Guiding participants on setting financial goals, creating personalized investment plans, and understanding the fundamental rules of investing.
The event, which commenced at 9:00 a.m. and lasted for 1.5 hours, attracted a diverse audience comprising the esteemed Principal, Ayesha Kiani, Vice Principal, Sarah Kazmi, faculty members, and enthusiastic students.
