No clash between religion, science: Prof Ahmad Rafique Akhtar
He said that if religion and science move in the same direction, the world would reach perfection
GUJAR KHAN: Renowned religious scholar and spiritual figure Prof Ahmad Rafique Akhtar has said there is no difference between religion and science.
Addressing the annual session — “Quran Sultan Naseer” —he said, our scholars say worldly education is one thing while the religious is another, which is a misunderstanding.
He said that if religion and science move in the same direction, the world would reach perfection.
Prof Ahmad Rafique Akhtar said that he did not visualise Israel in future, as The Almighty will not forgive killing of thousands of children.
Prof Ahmad Rafique Akhtar said that when the Holy Quran says everything in the universe is going along with its fixed path, and today science is endorsing it. Had scientist read the Holy Quran, they would have easily comprehended the mysteries of the universe, he added.
On this occasion, the Chairman of Sweet Homes, Zamurrad Khan, and other personalities were present on the stage.
Professor Ahmad Rafique said Allah loves human being immensely.
He said, “I have no worries about this country. Remove all fears about this country from your heart. My lecture is about removing any fears and doubts.”
The Almighty shows us the right path and the intellect admits that only He is worthy of being worshipped, the scholar told the audience.
In all ages, people of high intelligence have been religious, he said, adding they said the Big Bang is a theory of chance. Scientists, who do not recognize the Holy Quran, mention countless chances including Big Bang. How long would they keep constructing baseless theories, he questioned.
He said Allah speaks with arguments and loves arguments. Allah Almighty says He expanded the universe. They (scientists) now believe the universe is expanding. How it is expanding, they do not know yet.
Prof Rafique Ahmad praised the scouts of Sweet Homes who arranged the session. He said Zamurrad Khan was helping them in getting higher education.
Over 10,000 people attended the session, including those from abroad. Additional police force had to be deployed for security and traffic control.
