BARA/LANDIKOTAL: Four candidates supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Khyber district have won their seats in the general elections.
According to Form 47, the PTI has secured a clean sweep in the National Assembly (NA-27) and Provincial Assembly seats of PK-69, PK-70 and PK-71.Former member of National Assembly Haji Iqbal Afridi secured victory on the NA seat with 85,514 votes, while his opponent from Pakistan Muslim League-N, Alhaji Shahji Gul, came in second with 18,832 votes.
In PK-69, PTI-backed candidate Muhammad Adnan Qadri was elected with 25,596 votes, defeating his opponent Shafiq Sher Afridi of the Muslim League-N, who received 10,095 votes. In PK-70, former MPA Bilawal Afridi of the Muslim League-N came in second with 7,401 votes, while PTI-backed Muhammad Sohail Afridi won the seat with 31,649 votes.
The third PTI-backed candidate, Abdul Ghani Afridi, secured victory in PK-71 with 15,061 votes, while Jamaat-e-Islam candidate Khan Wali Afridi secured the second position with 7,803 votes. Former MPA Muhammad Shafiq Afridi lost from the same constituency, securing 5,545 votes.
