NOWSHERA: Former lawmaker and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) candidate for NA-33 and PK-88, Ikhtiar Wali Khan, on Wednesday labelled the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians chief Pervez Khattak as a disloyal and opportunist politician, who had always stabbed his benefactors in the back.

“Former chief minister Pervez Khattak has no narrative or ideology. He is skilled in grabbing opportunity through backdoors and better knows how to fill his own coffer with national wealth through kickbacks and commission,” he said while addressing public meetings held in connection with the ongoing electioneering for the general elections slated for February 8. PMLN candidates and local leaders also addressed the gatherings.

Ikhtiar Wali said that Pervez Khattak had changed five to six parties during the last 35 years and every political party became corrupt when he quit it after enjoying the luxuries of its government.

He said that masses were now aware that the PTIP chief was a multifaceted person and he had always deceived his electorate through hollow slogans and pledges.

He criticised Pervez Khattak’s ambitions to reclaim the chief minister position, questioning his achievements during his previous tenure of five years. He said that a fair election would dismantle Pervez Khattak’s party PTIP like the PTI.

“Pervez Khattak has become mentally ill and he needs proper treatment. His thinking of becoming a chief minister is like daydreaming.

Ikhtiar Wali urged the people to support Nawaz Sharif on February 8 for what he called Pakistan’s economic strength.
