LAHORE: Kaspersky, a global leader in cybersecurity, said on Wednesday that its anti-malware products had achieved the highest possible rating in a test by an independent security testing company, amid growing concerns over malware attacks.
The company said its Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, Kaspersky Small Office Security and Kaspersky Plus products had scored 1136 points out of 1136 and received an "AAA" awards certificate from SE Labs, a UK-based company that conducts realistic and accurate security tests.
The test involved a mixture of targeted attacks using well-established techniques and threats found live on the internet at the time of the test, simulating real-world cyberattacks and allowing vendors to demonstrate the effectiveness of their endpoint security solutions in terms of detection, prevention and mitigation.
"Malware is one of the most prevalent types of attacks in the world, and with the development of cybersecurity solutions, threat creators are searching for new ways to bypass security systems," said Usman Qureshi, country representative for Pakistan at Kaspersky.
"We conduct researches into our systems and our solutions to find weaknesses and develop and upgrade proactive counter technologies correspondingly."
