NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) chairman Pervez Khattak said on Sunday that people would vote his party into power during the forthcoming elections slated for February 8.
“I have tested almost all the political parties during my 40 years of political career but leaders of all these parties were found corrupt and selfish. “I then parted ways with them because they were working for self-interest instead of serving the masses,” he said while speaking to gatherings held in various places of the district as part of the election campaign.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians candidate for NA-34 and PK-89, Dr Imran Khattak, PK-85 aspirant Ibrahim Khattak, PK-86 candidate Ismail Khattak and others also addressed the gatherings.Pervez Khattak claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf cannot win a single seat from Nowshera, saying that the PTIP would form a government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the elections.
He also lashed out at the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan People’s Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl and Awami National Party for their failure to deliver during their governments in the country.
The leaders of all the political parties, he added, had just filled their coffers and had done nothing for welfare of the masses when they were ruling the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the country turn by turn.
He said that leaders of other political parties had lost the trust of people due to their greed for powers and wealth, as they had never implemented their parties’ manifestos in letter and spirit.
Pervez Khattak said that he had served the people of KP when he was the chief minister, adding that his rival political parties were afraid of his popularity and looking for excuses to flee from the elections.
