Veteran actor Nisar Qadri dies PM offers condolences
RAWALPINDI: Veteran radio, TV and stage actor Nisar Qadri passed away in Rawalpindi on Monday. He was 82.
He left behind a widow, two sons and a daughter to mourn his death. His funeral prayers will be offered at Eidgah Ground Chaklala today. He had been ill for some time. Nisar Qadri started his artistic career with Radio Pakistan in 1966 and was awarded the Presidential Pride of Performance award for his services in 2016.
Meanwhile, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar expressed grief over his death. In a message, he prayed for peace to the departed soul and sympathised with the bereaved family. He said Nisar Qadri was among experienced artists of Pakistan Television. His services for Pakistan Television, film, radio and theatre will always be remembered, he added.
