NOWSHERA: Almost all the political parties and independent candidates submitted nomination papers for upcoming elections for the two national and five provincial assemblies’ seats in the district on Sunday.
Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) chairman and former defence minister Pervez Khattak and his all family members filed nomination papers for all the national and provincial assemblies’ seats for the general elections.
Pervez Khattak submitted nomination for NA-33 and PK-87 and PK-88 while his nephew and son-in-law Dr Imran Khattak will contest election from NA-34 and PK-89. Similarly, Ibrahim Khattak and Ismail Khattak, the sons of Pervez Khattak filed nomination papers for PK-85 and PK-86, respectively.
Mian Iftikhar of Awami National Party will contest election from PK-89 while Ikhtiyar Wali of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz filed nomination papers for NA-33 and PK-88.The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has fielded independent candidates in almost all the constituencies, who have already filed papers for the elections.
Similarly, Awami National Party’s Khan Pervez, Barrister Sarwar and Mustafa Anwar of PTI, Fayyazur Rahman of PMLN, Mufti Shakatullah and Ijazul Haq of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl and others also filed papers for NA-33 constituency.
Besides Dr Imran Khattak, Major-Gen (r) Saad Khattak of Aam Admi Party, Mian Babar Shah of ANP, Mian Khaliqur Rahman, Haji Akbar, Daud Khattak of PTI, Shaiq Amin of Tehreek-e-Labbaik, Hamza Pervez of PMLN, Alhaj Pervez Khan of JUIF, Idrees Khattak of PPP and others filed papers for the NA-34 and others provincial constituencies.
