34 PPS, NH&MP SPs made part of PSP
ISLAMABAD: Some 34 SPs of BPS-18 belonging to the Provincial Police Service (PPS) and National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP) were made part of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).
For the first time in history, officers of the National Highways and Motorways Police have been inducted into the PSP. For this, the Establishment Division has amended the policy rules. The prime minister approved this amendment after which a DPC was held for encadrement.
The Establishment Division on the recommendation of the DPC issued a formal notification for the integration of these officers into the PSP. They are posted in the Punjab Police, Balochistan Police and National Highways and Motorways Police.
As many as 8 officers from Punjab, 15 from Balochistan and 11 from the National Highways and Motorways Police have been appointed to the police service. The police officers have been directed to continue their services at their present positions.
Anwar Saeed Tahir, Hafiz Atta-ul Rehman, Naeem Aziz, Khalid Rashid, Muhammad Khan, Sohail Fazil, Matiullah and Shamsul Haq have been appointed to the police service by the Punjab Police. Abdul Jabbar, Syed Osman Ghani, Manzoor Ahmed Bilidi, Muhammad Hashim, Zahid Hussain Shah, Atif Saleem, Ziaullah, Abdul Razaq, Abdul Aziz Jakharani, Abdul Haq, Inayatullah Banglazai, Javed Ahmed, Gul Ahmed, Ghulam Hussain and Asrar Ahmed Imrani have been made part of PSP from Balochistan Police.
Ghulam Qadir, Shah Asad Khan, Nazakat Ali, Nadeem Ashraf, Ajmal Khan, Farrukh Raza, Ahmad Jawad Shah, Atif Shehzad, Javed Iqbal, Faisal Akram and Zahid Nazir have been appointed in the police service from the National Highways and Motorways Police.
The appointments will be effective from October 25, 2023 on the day the DPC meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Additional Secretary Establishment Division. The Secretary Establishment Division approved the recommendations of the DPC.
