Significant efforts by the Punjab government are underway to eliminate smog. One often overlooked way to reduce smog is by planting more trees. Schools and businesses should lead the charge to green our urban areas. However, doing so will be no easy task and will require discipline and professionalism.
It takes a sapling around two-and-a-half years to become a medium-sized tree, provided it is watered every day at the appropriate time. Ensuring plants are properly cared for will require a determined effort from our government.
