ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Monday again criticised caretaker Federal Information Minister Murtaza Solangi for his ‘shameful attempts’ to distort facts regarding the availability of level playing field to political parties.

Reacting to the minister’s ‘continued criticism of the president’s letter regarding non-availability of a level playing field for the PTI’, the PTI spokesman strongly condemned the targeting of the president for playing a constitutional role and showing the path of the constitution to the puppet caretaker system which is on the path of deviation from the constitution.

He noted that the caretaker government was going out of its constitutional path and targeting the PTI with the worst state terrorism under a sinister plan, so it was the constitutional duty of the president to remind the caretaker government of its constitutional role in this regard.

The PTI spokesman said that the ‘worst crackdown’ on the PTI and ignoring ‘state terrorism’ without any hindrance is the argument of the highest apathy and blindness and foolish act. He said the caretaker government was continuing its shameful series of harassment, enforced disappearances, illegal raids on their residences and offices of PTI leaders and workers.

The PTI spokesman reminded that PTI functionaries and workers were not even allowed to take part in normal political activities and on the other hand, a ‘convicted criminal’ was carrying out a state-sponsored campaign to rob the people’s mandate under the London agreement.

He stressed that the caretaker government has a constitutional and legal responsibility to provide equal ground and equal rights to all political parties, but unfortunately the current caretaker setup is involved in criminal negligence of its constitutional role. He advised the caretaker information minister to look at the ground realities with open eyes instead of blatantly lying to distort and undeniable facts.
