Industrial estate to be set up in Jhang, says SM Tanveer

LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce SM Tanveer said that the caretaker Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps to promote investment in the province and solve the long-standing problems of investors and industrialists.

He was talking to a delegation of Jhang-based business community here at Tevta secretariat. The delegation was led by the President of Jhang Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Ansar while deputy commissioner Jhang Khurram Niazi participated in the meeting through a video link. The meeting discussed the issues faced by industries and business community of Jhang.

SM Tanveer assured the delegation of resolving their issues. Further, he said that a place would be identified soon for the establishment of the industrial estate in Jhang. All the new industries and factories will be set up in Jhang there where people will get employment opportunities. He said that selection of establishment of the industrial estate would be made in consultation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry officials and the deputy commissioner. Appreciating the initiative of establishing the business facilitation centre in Punjab, President of the Jhang Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Ansar said that the government was taking unprecedented steps to bring new investment in the province and speed up the process of industrialisation.
