In a candid interview with You! let’s find out the likes and dislikes of this talented gal…

you & me

Known for her seemingly effortless charm and sun-kissed skin, Fatima Hira stepped into the modelling industry by accident. It was when one of her close friends, who’s a designer, offered her a shoot. It turned out to be a big hit and then there was no looking back.

Hira’s willingness to experiment with her skills and discover herself has led her to work for big brands and reputable projects. She has appeared in TVCs for brands like Telenor, Mobilink and Nestle, to name a few. Apart from that, she has graced the cover of many magazines and been a part of brand campaigns for Elan, BTW, Outfitters etc. Moreover, she has dabbled into the acting territory as she worked in music videos for ‘Spin the Wheel’ by Mikki Murshed and ‘Intezar’ by Abdullah Qureshi. In a candid interview with You! let’s find out the likes and dislikes of this talented gal…

Your claim to fame project:

I think it was Elan.

What’s your most valuable assets?

I believe it’s my mindset to grow either by educating myself or gaining experiences through travelling.

Your biggest strength:

Definitely, self-love. It gives me all the strength and confidence I need to keep going.

Your definition of love:

Oxytocin and dopamine doing their job right.

You wish you could:

Eat all day and not gain weight, fix my sleep schedule and have photographic memory.

Something you’re strongly possessive about:

My child, my dog, 3-year-old Tibetan Terrier named Peanut.

When feeling low you prefer:

A cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows and the company of mama bear.

Do you have any regrets?

Wasting my time on people and places that I had already outgrown. I regret always being nice to everyone and not learning how to say no.

Your worst nightmare:

It would be losing my loved ones.

If you could be another person who would you like to be:

That’s a tough question. (haha) I already have an alter ego.

Something you would like to remember:

I forget things easily, so I’d start off with remembering names.

Something you would like to forget:

I’d like to forget certain feelings I’ve felt at different times in my life. Those are the hardest to erase.

Something you like about yourself:

Appearance wise, I like my eyes the most. They help me talk without words. My witty humour comes next, if we talk about my personality traits.

One quality you’d like to change in yourself?

Fake laughing a lot to seem polite. I would like to laugh genuinely.

How was lockdown for you?

I found new interests, baking being one of my favourites! I also managed to give time to books that were being ignored.

How do you vent anger?

I successfully convert it into frustration and cry it out. My therapist is still working on it.

If you give another chance to live your life, what will you do?

There is so much that I would do differently. Change and take the advice I give to others now.

What touches you the most?

It would be a violin… it just takes me to some other world.

What bores you the most?

Small talk tops the list. Such waste of good time, but I bare the boredom and play along just for the sake of it.

What turns you on?

A guy talking excitedly about something he’s passionate about instantly draws me to him.
Apart from that, a well-cooked meal comes next as my stomach is the way to my heart.

You’re afraid of...

I’m afraid of running out of time before I achieve all my milestones.

Your teenage crush:

Christian Bale.

You like men who are...

I like men who are strong-headed, hardworking and take care of themselves.

Love marriage, arranged or being single?

It’s still too soon for me to know. I am certain that I can’t marry someone without developing a connection first.

One person you would like to dine out with:

Mikki Murshed. (If you’re reading this, you still owe me a dinner!)

Among your friends you’re known as:

A cry baby who’s always stressed out at minor inconveniences.

The biggest misconception about you:

People think Fatima Hira would be arrogant and uptight. On the contrary, I struggle with being too nice in real life.

A message for our readers:

There will always be people talking behind your back because you are ahead of them. Let your heart lead you. Don’t worry about criticism, keep up the good work and always think outside the box.
