Leading luxury designer, Zainab Chottani, has come up with her first-of-its-kind ChikanKari Eid Festive Collection 2018, ‘Perayaan’. Dipping into rich cultural heritage, the collection embraces the art of ‘ChikanKari’, conceived with an aesthetic fusion of urban chic and vintage needlework. With fabrics, such as the brand’s trademark, soft and breezy supima cotton paired with luxurious khaadi net dupattas, the collection comes in seven distinct designs, each in two colourways based in an array of colours.

The collection embodies festivity and celebration with a contemporary touch. The ensemble draws on a metallic colour palette with Hira Ali’s signature exquisite embroideries on plush fabrics. The label uses the finest thread embroideries, earth tones and high quality fabrics to give its clients the signature luxury meets perfection product that the fashion house is known for. ‘Khaadi’, Pakistan’s premier fast fashion and lifestyle brand has unveiled its limited edition, unstitched luxury lawn, recently. The collection takes inspiration from the rich sub-continental heritage and crafts a blend between tradition and modern design philosophy. The new collection brings a wide range of intricately embellished and embroidered fabrics, offering festive colours and designs in printed and embroidered fabrics with zari, sequins and reshams finishes.

The collection itself is an assortment of eight sub collections each having its own identity. Each outfit of the new collection is a three-piece ensemble and offers, for the first time a diversity of combinations, such as embroidered cotton net with embroidered net tissue silk dupattas. Also, there are embroidered chiffon suits, pastel and gold printed suits, embroidered digital cotton satin, embroidered lawn with chiffon dupattas and embroidered lawn with embroidered chiffon dupattas.

Emerging fashion label, ‘Khatepoesh’, has recently opened doors to its flagship store in Lahore. The opening also marked the launch of the brand’s Eid 2018 collection titled, ‘The Seljuk Collection’. The collection is inspired by the Turko-Persian dynasty and its Islamic heritage. The fabric that has been used has been carefully paired with select motifs, chosen from the culture and the lifestyle of the Seljuks. The label is predominately based on an array of summer fabrics and includes embroidery and prints on lawn, chiffons, lightweight silks, organzas and georgette. The colour palette for the ‘Seljuk Collection’ complements the fabrics in creating a summery feel that provides relief against the summer heat.
