Yes, they crave cheeseburgers, struggle to take off baby weight and even - gasp! get cellulite. But they also spend hours at the gym to transform their bodies and become healthy and fit. Nowadays, the clean-eating food revolution has taken over, and almost everyone is focusing on their fitness routine to flaunt those killer curves. And our favourite celebs are not lagging behind. We have seen them go fat to fit in a few months. Here are our two favourite celebrities who share their tips and tricks to lead a healthy lifestyle and have a fit body...
Size zero or being healthy: Being healthy
I forced myself to get out of bed every day...
After my second son Hassan, I felt like I would never get back into shape, especially the first 6 months after delivery. I had gained 70 pounds. But I forced myself to get out of bed and hit the gym every day. I ate healthy, drank tons of water and stayed focused.
Personal trainer makes all the difference...
I’ve been training at Structure Gym with my Personal Trainer Billy Mustafa who is here from England. A good trainer makes all the difference. My trainer pushed me to my limits and taught me to focus.
Core exercises are the way to go...
I started off with a set of three exercises that includes weight lifting, cardio and running to have rapid results. But my workout changes every day. I also take a class at Structure called TCB which is amazing.
Starving doesn’t make you lose weight...
You don’t need to diet if you have a healthy lifestyle and you eat well. Starving doesn’t make anyone lose weight.
Fad diets are nonsense...
Fad diets are nonsense, that’s what I think. You should have a balanced diet consisting of proteins, carbs, vitamins and minerals.
It’s O.K to cheat...
It is very important to have a cheat meal. Not a cheat day. Once in a while eating what you crave is good, but don’t do it all day on any given day. Once or twice a week just have ONE cheat meal.
My gym bag has...
Loreal Kerastase Shampoo and Conditioner and two clean towels as I take a shower after workout. I also keep my Garnier BB Cream, deodorant, mouth wash and tooth brush.
It’s a constant struggling...
Once you get to the desired weight and shape - don’t stop going to the gym as you sure don’t want to put on weight. Since I have a huge appetite, I tend to gain weight quickly but, I lose it quickly as well, when I follow certain diet plans.
Secret mantra:
Stop taking carbs after 4 o’clock and don’t eat anything after 7 or 8 o’clock. You should rather walk or exercise after that.

Healthy or haggard: Healthy
It’s good to have a personal trainer...
My trainer Fatima Zehra Malik helped me in strengthening my lower back as I had back issues and then we took it from there. Before Fatima, I just used to do lots of cardio. But then she came and we started doing cross weight, cardio and a number of other exercises.
Fat doesn’t go away quickly...
To be fit, you need to change your whole lifestyle. It’s not a one day movement; you take it gradually and try to achieve the results. I took almost a year to lose unwanted fat from my body. And I am still in the process. So it’s not just one thing, you have to do a mix of training drills to lose weight.
Don’t follow crazy diet plans:
If you are losing weight and working out for that, you just don’t live on diet as you also have to take all the nutritions to stay healthy. We just want to ‘look good’ and follow crazy diet plans regardless of the fact that it will make us unhealthy eventually.
It boils down to balanced diet:
It’s not about having a good diet. It is about being wise in what you eat. You should have a good proportion of everything in your diet plan.
Cheat days are a bliss:
Dude! You SHOULD have a cheat day (haha).
Oh! the belly fat...
The only way to lose belly fat is to zip your mouth after eight!
My gym must-haves...
Deodorant (haha). It’s very important as I am particular about hygiene. I also keep my face wash and a moisturizer with me when I am going to the gym.
My secret is out:
Avoid sugar! You can always have alternatives but no sugar please. Have dark chocolate and cottage cheese. Be consistent in clean eating rather than killing yourself by following a massive diet.
