Stylish tunics: Longer than shirts, but shorter than dresses, tunics can give you a fun, modern look. There are many kinds of tunics of different lengths, styles and shapes available. The trick is to wear a tunic in a way that is most flattering for your body. Keep in mind that the fit is meant to be loose, not snug, and the fabric should not be too heavy. A tunic top should billow and flow, not cling to the body. It should also be fitted somewhat in the neck and chest area so that you don’t look shapeless.

Denim: Teens these days just can’t do without denim. No matter what your style is desi or western, denim - tops, kurtis, jackets and of course jeans - is the way to go. Ripped jeans and patchwork denim is very in these days and can be worn at casual hangouts.

Capes and coats: We have been witnessing it on the fashion runways for quite some time now. Yes, capes and coats are chic pieces that can do wonders for the simplest of wardrobes, transforming a casual look into an altogether high-fashion outfit in seconds. Either you go for a cape or a coat; it is perfect to add that extra finish to your look. Capes have certainly become one of the coolest cover ups for all fashionistas.

Leather: All you youngsters out there, if you are daring enough then go ahead and add leather to your wardrobe - be it leather pants or a touch of leather on your top in the form of leather collar and sleeves.

Pair it up: All the above trends can be incorporated in your wardrobe, whether you opt for eastern or western outfits. If you are more into ‘desi’ then you can pair your short or long kurtis with the very fashionable cigarette pants that are trending these days. Even cropped culottes and gharara pants are quite in vogue. Not to forget, plain and tulip shalwars are back in fashion.

Asymmetry rules: The trend that is ruling the fashion scene for a few months now is making its way into winter as well and that is asymmetry cuts. Whether it is a crop top or your casual kurti, add a contemporary edge to your outfit by decking yourself out in asymmetrical items of clothing.

Fur: Fur may not have been an expected trend but they definitely appeared on the runway shows all around the world. And after all it is winter and the perfect way to keep yourself warm is to go for trendy fur stoles.

Stripes: Amongst the many trends of this season are stripes. Especially bright and bold stripes. Give this a try if you really want to experiment and stand out.

Extra long sleeves: Extra long sleeves are a major style trend. Whether fluted or straight, sleeves should skim past the wrist. Basically, this trend looks absolutely hot when it is layered. What are you waiting for? Try a long-sleeved shirt with a normal-sleeved upper and see the magic!

Sparkling sequins: Add some sequined outfits in your wardrobe as this is a must have item this winter. This is one trend that is very easy to experiment with, as you can go for an all sequined shirt or you can add hints of it. The idea is to shimmer and shine this season!

Velvet touch: Velvet has never been more fashionable. Even though, velvet is the perfect fabric for winters, incorporating this trend can be a little tricky as people tend to go overboard. Well, the good news is that there are numerous ways you can use velvet; for example you can go for velvet shirts or tops, capes etc.

For the guys (BORING:p)

Neckerchiefs: Don’t want to wrap those warm wooly scarves around your neck, well, neckerchiefs are the new way to protect your neck this cold season. To be bang-on trend, look out for something in a cotton-silk material - it could be colourful and patterned. Another option is to simply tie on a bandana and let its tails hang loose over your jumper.

Statement coats: Of course, in winter you always need a decent coat, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring. This season is all about statement coats in neutral and earth tones such as grey and green. Go for something a little bit longer to keep you extra warm and making you look classy at the same time.

The classic style: It is winters and nothing beats a hoodie matched with slim fit jeans and a pair of sneakers.

The sporty one: These days teens are obsessed with wearing sporty brands. And even though we have plenty of options available, nothing beats brands like nike and adidas. So if you are the sporty one you know what we are talking about!

Track tops: Start thinking 1970’s athleticism, but bring it into the 21st century, and you’ll be in the right court for this trend. Great as a layering piece this winter, it will definitely add detail to your wardrobe.

The preppy guy: This trend is young and classy. It is simple and you don’t have to put in a lot of effort to pull off this look. Just pair up your long sleeves shirt with pullovers and you are good to go!

Duffle coats: For obvious reasons, winter is all about outerwear and this season no coat shape is more popular than the duffle coat. When it comes to duffle coats, camel is the colour to go for.

Jogger pants: This is one of the latest craze of our current era and young guys just can’t get enough of the jogger pants.

The plaid approach: The fact is that whatever the season may be checks and plaids never go out of style. This winter, plaid and flannel are here to stay.

Go urban: All you guys out there, the urban look is very much in this season. All you have to do is wear denims with hoodies and matching black earrings (if you are into piercings)

Casually smart: If you are more into semi formals, you are in luck! This trend is all about wearing a suit with a sporty touch - you can pair up your suit with sneakers or you can replace the waist coat with a sleeveless hoodie under your coat.

Beanie boy: Winter is all about keeping yourself warm and how can we forget beanie caps? Yes this season too, beanie caps will be a favourite among teens.

Shine in silk: Be it silk shirts or a silky accent on your shirt, incorporating the high shine fabric in your wardrobe is the easiest way to get on the trend.

Rocker look: Go all black to achieve that rocker look. Yes, your tee, jeans and converse have to be black. Not to forget your jacket, which should preferably be leather!
