LOVE CONQUERS ALL

TIME TO RAISE THE CURTAINS

The much anticipated movie, ‘Parde Mein Rehne Do’ starring Hania Aamir and Ali Rehman for the first time as the leading pair, saw the release of its trailer and three songs amidst much excitement in a star-studded affair, held recently in Karachi.

The plot for the film addresses a societal issue faced by almost every newly married couple in Pakistan; the pressure to start their own family without being given a chance to enjoy and explore their life together. The film appears to tackle the issue of infertility and how a Pakistani couple deals with it. Director, Wajahat Rauf has addressed this prevalent issue in his uniquely humorous way with this movie, and the perfect choice of actors brought the characters to life.

The event was hosted by Dananeer Mobeen, where she introduced the director, producer and cast. The powerful soundtrack, directed by Hassan Ali and Aashir Wajahat left the audience enthralled. Speaking on the occasion, the lead actor Ali Rehman, commented, “It was such a great experience shooting with an amazing team. I’m so proud of this project because not only is it a labour of love, which we worked very hard to shoot during a pandemic, but more importantly it addresses the stigma attached to accepting certain social issues that can have an impact on society.”

This film is warm, responsible, and funny,” stated the leading lady of the film Hania Aamir.

While, Wajahat Rauf expressed, “For me, it is special because it addresses an important social issue. I hope to make more films that give out a positive message along with entertaining people.”

OF MYSTERY & SCHEMES

TIME TO RAISE THE CURTAINS

Amid some upbeat Eid releases, the movie ‘Chakkar’ boasts of being a thriller. Starring Ahsan Khan and Neelum Muneer in key roles, the movie will be exploring a big mystery.

Recently, the cast of the movie got together for a sehri meet-and-greet where they mingled with the media and talked about the movie.

Neelum is set to take on double roles in the film; one of her characters, Mehreen, wife to Ahsan Khan’s character Kabir, while she also has an identical sister Zara Khan, who is a superstar. Zara is infamous for being a diva who is difficult to work with and Kabir is not fond of his sister-in-law as well. One fateful day, the sisters switch places and one of them is attacked, as shown in the teaser trailer. This leads to the entry of Inspector Shahzad (Yasir Nawaz) who is investigating the murder, and it appears that Kabir is one of the prime suspects.

Produced by Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz, the film is also directed by Yasir. The film stars Javed Sheikh, Ahmed Hasan, Mehmood Aslam and Naveed Raza amongst others with a cameo appearance by Shoaib Malik.

Apart from being a thriller, the movie offers dance numbers, action sequences, romantic ballads at picturesque locations, a lot of suspense and drama, making it a perfect popcorn entertainer for Eid.
