Born on 19th January 1982 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.
Her parents were both in prison when she was born. Was adopted and raised as an only child by her uncle Sam Sweetin and his wife when she was nine months old.
Started acting as a child, making her debut in the sitcom Valerie in 1987.
Was cast as Stephanie Tanner in Full House in 1987 and played the role until the show’s end in 1995. The sitcom became a massive hit and propelled her to stardom.
Struggled with alcohol and drug abuse which started in her teens; eventually got sober and improved her life.
Wrote her memoir UnSweetined in 2009.
Has reprised the role of Stephanie Tanner in the Full House spin-off Fuller House (2015 - present).
Participated in season 22 of Dancing with the Stars; finished in sixth place.
Has been married thrice: to police officer Shaun Holguin (2002 to 2006; divorced), film transportation coordinator Cody Herpin (2007 to 2010; divorced; they have a daughter together), and Morty Coyle (2012 to 2016; divorced; one daughter together).
