* Musical teen comedy; formerly homeschooled Cady Heron (Rice) fits in with the A-list girl clique at her new school, but everything changes when she falls for the ex-boyfriend of the group’s queen bee (Rapp).

* Based on the Broadway musical of the same name that was in turn based on the 2004 comedy film which was inspired by Rosalind Wiseman’s 2002 book Queen Bees and Wannabes.

* Reneé Rapp reprises her role from the stage musical; Tina Fey (who wrote the screenplay) and Tim Meadows reprise their roles from the original film.

* Has grossed around $44 million on a $36 million budget.

* Has received mixed reviews, with critics finding it saccharine and uninspired.

* Score composed by Jeff Richmond.
