Actor-filmmaker Adnan Sarwar made his film debut with biopic Shah in 2015 and last year he directed and acted in Motorcycle Girl that features Sohai Ali Abro in the lead role.

Earlier this year, Adnan revealed that he is working on three film scripts that he plans to release one by one by the end of 2020. However, he recently took to social media to share that he had been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, spinal cord stenosis, a condition which involves the degeneration of the spinal cord and the nerve roots. Moreover, he also informed that he has undergone a surgery and is recovering from the condition.

“A BEAUTIFUL LIFE: A tumultuous and difficult few months preceded a life-threatening condition that I found myself in recently. I was diagnosed with a spinal cord stenosis and only an emergency surgery saved my life and limb,” the 39-year-old filmmaker and actor wrote on his official Facebook handle.

A doctor himself, Adnan further went on to thank the doctors who treated him. “A note of gratitude to the hospital and to the nursing staff for their care and support. To those who love me so, and have left me humbled and moved by their tears and prayers - Thank you! You know who you are,” read the post.

Sarwar also went on to thank those who stood by his side during this crucial time of his life. “As I embark on the long, slow road to full recovery, I shall reach out to those who have been trying to contact me as soon as I can. In my new life, I resolve to love more, worry less. Laugh more, frown less. Relax more, work less. Take care of my health. And most importantly, reconnect with loved ones lost along the way, before all this… It’s a beautiful life.”

We wish Adnan Sarwar a speedy recovery.
