It was just last week when Indus Blues, a documentary that highlights the efforts of various Pakistani folk artists who are trying hard to keep a fading art-form from dying, picked up the Gold Award at Spotlight Documentary Awards 2018. The film has officially been selected at the prestigious Docfeed Documentary Festival 2019, an upcoming festival that showcases a unique selection of the most recent and inspiring documentaries.

Picking up praise since its debut, Indus Blues will have its Indian premiere today (January 21, 2019) at the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF), India that commenced on 18 January and will run till 22 January, 2019.

The brainchild of director and cinematographer Jawad Sharif, Indus Blues has also been officially selected for the Best Documentary Feature International Competition 2019 at the festival.

Jawad Sharif recently took to social media to announce the good news. “Hello friends... Indus Blues is coming to Jaipur!” he posted on his official Facebook handle.

In search of disappearing folk musical treasures, the filmmaker takes you on a journey across Pakistan - from the Karakoram Mountains to the southern coastline.

In the past Indus Blues, produced by the Foundation of Arts, Culture and Education (FACE), in association with Bipolar Films, has been acknowledged on various international platforms including Regina International Film Festival (RIFF), South Film and Arts Academy Festival 2018 and the 8th annual Guam International Film Festival.
