Chupan Chupai is up on Netflix

Action comedy, Chupan Chupai, featuring Ahsan Khan and Neelam Muneer in lead roles, was released across Pakistan on December 29, 2017. Written and directed by Mohsin Ali, Chupan Chupai was the last film of that year and received rave reviews. The good news is that the film premiered on Netflix on January 16 and is available on the streaming site.

Written and directed by Mohsin Ali, Chupan Chupai was the last film of that year and received rave reviews. The good news is that the film premiered on Netflix on January 16 and is available on the streaming site. The comedy has been simultaneously released in Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, India, US, Canada, China, Thailand, Bangladesh, Panama, Israel, Luxembourg, Russia, South Africa, Ireland, UK, Thailand and Pakistan.

Speaking to Instep, director Mohsin Ali shared, “I am happy and excited about it as a filmmaker. It is an amazing feeling that people around the globe can see your work.”

He went on to say that it is opening more avenues for Pakistani cinema and added, “The entire team of Chupan Chupai can’t thank public and viewers enough for all the love this first project of ours has received.”

Moreover actor Ahsan Khan, who essays the character of Babu in the film, is overwhelmed that Chupan Chupai is accessible digitally to a wider audience. “People love watching Pakistani films and dramas worldwide and there should be an easy way to watch them,” he told Instep.

The film’s actor and co-producer, Zayed Sheikh said, “I feel great that the international audience is craving for world cinema. Netflix is a worldwide platform and I feel privileged that Chupan Chupai is streaming there, more eye balls for Pakistani cinema.”

Besides Ahsan Khan and Neelam Muneer, the action comedy has an ensemble cast including veteran actors Jawad Sheikh, Talat Hussain, Rehan Sheikh, Sakina Samo, Adnan Jaffar and Saife Hassan, while Faizan Khawaja, Ali Rizvi, Vajdan Shah and Zayed Razzaque Sheikh made their debut with Chupan Chupai.
