Starring as the lively Santosh in Shazia Ali Khan’s recently released Pinky Memsaab, Indian actor Sunny Hinduja is currently in Dubai for promotions of the film. The film, that released in Pakistan and Dubai last weekend, follows the lives of four individuals as they struggle to find themselves and fulfill their dreams.

We got in touch with the actor from across the border to find out how he feels about working in Pinky Memsaab with a cast and crew from Pakistan.

“It was a lovely ride actually,” he told Instep. “There was a lot of love and a lot of passion. I did not feel at all that we were from two different countries. It was as if we all are one and working towards a common goal of making great cinema.”

Pinky Memsaab, written, directed and co-produced by debutant Shazia Ali Khan, features Hajra Yamin, Kiran Malik, Adnan Jaffar, Hajra Khan, Khalid Ahmed and Shamim Hilaly aside from Sunny. Sunny brought the much needed comic element to the film that gave us some good laughs.

Speaking of his costars, Sunny added that there was a lot of comfort and that he made great connect with everyone, particularly Shazia [Ali Khan] and Hajra [Yamin].

The film premiered in Karachi last week and has generated mostly positive reviews since then.
