After former model and actor Tanushree Dutta accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of harassment, multiple Bollywood celebrities came out in support of the 34-year-old actor. And it seems that it is the beginning of #MeToo movement in Bollywood.

The latest to join the list are actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who expressed their views on sexual harassment in Bollywood during the 16th Hindustan Times Leadership Summit that was held in New Delhi.

Both the actors, who were last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period film Padmavat, stressed on the importance of believing the accuser.

Referring to the Dutta-Patekar issue, Ranveer Singh stated, “Right now something has happened, it takes a lot of courage to speak about it. If it has happened, it’s wrong, and I condemn it emphatically.”

Deepika Padukone agreed with the actor and asserted, “For me, the #MeToo movement is not about gender. It’s about the victory of right over wrong.” She added, “Anyone who faces any sort of discrimination or any sort of abuse, I think we as people must support that person. It’s not about a woman or a man or female versus male, let’s not get confused in that conversation.”
