While drama serial Aisi Hai Tanhai, featuring Sonya Hussyn, Sami Khan and Nadia Khan in key roles, became quite successful after going on air last year, the good news is that recently the play has had its international release.
Based on issues like cyber bullying and slut-shaming in a conservative society like ours, Aisi Hai Tanhai has been redubbed in Arabic and is already on air on MBC Bollywood for Arab viewers around the world. The TV channel is known for airing Bollywood movies and Indian soaps for the consumption of the Arab Diaspora in France, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, UK and Canada.
Moreover, actor Sami Khan also took to his official Instagram page to share the news and wrote, “Aisi Hai Tanhai starting in KSA.”The play, written by Mohsin Ali and directed by Badar Mehmood, highlights how the life of a girl turns upside down when her intimate photos are leaked online.
This is not the first time that a Pakistani play is getting an international release. MCB Bollywood has earlier aired the Mahira and Fawad Khan starrer Humsafar.
