All it takes to be famous and successful nowadays is becoming viral on the internet. Case in point: Jeremy Meeks, better known as the “Hot Felon” or #FelonBae, who signed with a modeling agency while he was still behind bars. Meeks became an internet sensation in 2014 after his mug shot for felony weapons charges went viral. Women couldn’t get stop swooning over how hot Meeks was and the world realized Meek’s potential in becoming a top model.

Meek jumped out of prison and landed right on the catwalk for one of fashion’s biggest platforms, the New York Fashion Week, where he strutted his stuff for fashion designer Philipp Plein in front of a crowd of Hollywood A-listers, such as Madonna and Kylie Jenner.

Not only did Meeks walk in a major fashion show, he was also seen networking with fashion elites, such as the former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld.

Prior to his modeling career, Meeks spent a lot of his time behind bars, facing convictions of crimes such weapon possession, gang membership and probation violation. Let’s hope his modeling career means he’s leaving the thug life for good.
