Currently starring in the hit comedy series Mom, seven-time Emmy champ Allison Janney felt “honoured” when it was announced that she would be receiving a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony, which was streamed live and held recently also brought with it a reunion of The West Wing who joined Janney to celebrate her moment.

Aside from starring in the upcoming fourth season of Mom, the actress is also gearing up for a Broadway stint. In fact, she will headline a Broadway revival of John Guare’s 1990 drama, Six Degrees of Separation, which will open to audiences in April.

2016 is proving to be a fabulous year for the actress who has starred in films like Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and The Girl on the Train to critical acclaim.

In a recent interview, Janney, who won an Emmy for her guest performance in Masters of Sex in 2015 revealed that she has starred in every film by Tate Taylor, who directed Emily Bunt-starrer The Girl on the Train.

“My dear friend Tate Taylor directed it, and we have a long history of working together,” said Janney in a recent interview. “I’ve done every single movie he’s done. Even if there isn’t a part for me in it, he creates one. I think the detective part I play is sort of an amalgamation of all the different detectives in the book. He’s got a great dark and twisted sense that I love. He’s not afraid to go places.”
