Female suspect dead, four wounded in shooting at YouTube headquarters

A suspected female shooter opened fire at YouTube´s headquarters in San Bruno on Tuesday, wounding four people before taking her own life, said police.

CALIFORNIA: A suspected female shooter  opened fire at YouTube´s headquarters in San Bruno on Tuesday, wounding four people before taking her own life, said police.

Police did not release any further information on the suspect and  her motives behind the shooting at the offices of YouTube, sparking a panicked escape by employees and a massive police response.

As per details, four  people have reportedly been injured  at YouTube´s offices in California after  a female shooter restored to firing, police  immediately  responded to the incident, evacuating the campus where incident of shooting occurred.

According to reports, the YouTube´s headquarters in San Bruno  are completely shut down. Employees took to social media to say shots were fired and people were barricaded in their offices.

It is of course rare in the United States that  a woman  restore to firing  where the  majority of gun violence is carried out by men.

Employees took to Tweeter as they fled YouTube´s headquarters, with one saying he saw blood on the floor as he escaped.

"We were sitting in a meeting and then we heard people running because it was rumbling the floor. First thought was earthquake," employee Todd Sherman tweeted.

He added  that as he headed for an exit "someone said that there was a person with a gun," adding that at that point every new person h saw was a potential shooter.



The White House said President Donald Trump had been briefed and that his administration monitored the situation in San Bruno.

Earlier, San Bruno police had warned  people in a Twitter message to stay away from the address where YouTube, owned by Alphabet Inc´s Google, is based.


Meanwhile, in wake of reports about the hearing of shots fired at the building, Google tweeted; "Re: YouTube situation, we are coordinating with authorities and will provide official information here from Google and YouTube as it becomes available."
