This bizarre scene was recently witnessed in Indonesia and has since then been grabbing likes on social media from all around.
A car being pushed by people is a familiar sight but an aircraft being pushed is a spectacle new to the eyes.
This bizarre scene was recently witnessed in Indonesia and has since then been grabbing likes on social media from all around.
In footage surfacing on the internet made by passengers aboard, around 20 technicians and employees of Tambolaka Airport were seen pushing a Garuda aircraft weighing 35,000 kilograms, along the runway in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.
After the video caught attention worldwide, many users started building assumptions about the plane breaking down and passengers being forced to push the plane forward; however Ikhsan Rosan, the public relations manager of the country’s national airline came ahead soon after, rejecting all hearsay and released a statement saying, “After the plane landed, it should have turned left towards the apron [parking area]. .
The plane missed [the turn] slightly. There was no push-back available, the thing that pushes and tugs airplanes back. So it was pushed by technicians and employees at the airport.”
He further assured all concerned people that everything is running smoothly.
