Rahat Ali was dropped due to his fitness issues: Inzamam
KARACHI: Chief Selector Inzamam-ul Haq has said that fast bowler Rahat Ali had not been selected for the West Indies tour due to his fitness issues.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Inzamam said that Rahat Ali did not play any cricket after the Australia tour.
Rahat Ali was not able to bowl well, the chief selector said and added that undoubtedly he is a good bowler when in rhythm.
Inzamam said that Micky Aurthur couldn’t see what we saw in Rahat’s bowling.
The chief selector said although openers Ahmad Shahzad and Kamran Akmal did not perform as per expectations, they may give their performances in coming matches.
He said that Ahmad Shazad had joined the team after a long time so he must be under pressure.
