DUBAI: Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy won the toss and decided to bat first against Lahore Qalandars in the 16 th Twenty20 match of the Pakistan Super League 2017 here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
This is for the first time a team has won the toss and decided to bat first in this tournament.
Lahore Qalandars have made one change in their team, bringing in left-arm pacer Ghulam Mudassar in place of Mohammad Irfan Junior while Peshawar Zalmi have made two changes: Eoin Morgan and Iftikhar Ahmed are out and they have been replaced by Marlon Samuels and Mohammad Hafeez.
Lahore Qalandars have won three of the six matches they played so far and gained six points. Only Quetta Gladiators are ahead of them with nine points from six games. On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi achieved five points from six matches, winning three and losing two while one had no result due to rain.
