Amitabh turns down invite from Queen Elizabeth II
MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently turned down an invite from none other than Queen Elizabeth II, to participate in a cultural event taking place in Buckingham Palace.
It's not often that Queen Elizabeth issues invites for people to come over at the Buckingham Palace and when she does, it's considered quite the privilege. However, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently declined an invite from Her Majesty owing to professional commitments, when the Queen of England invited him to her palace for the India Cultural Year reception function.
The Sarkar superstar cited 'pre-scheduled commitments' as the reason for politely declining the Queen's invitation. Amitabh Bachchan has a packed schedule ahead of him, with the legendary actor booked to launch the trailer of his upcoming movie Sarkaar 3. Not only that, Amitabh Bachchan will also be shooting for Vijay Krishna Acharya’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ with Aamir Khan and Gaurang Doshi’s ‘Aankhen 2’.
If it's one person who can say no to a queen, you can bet it's Amitabh!
