Emma Corrin discusses decision to return to Instagram: 'I was given no choice'
Emma Corrin ditched the social media site after coming out as queer
Emma Corrin has returned to Instagram after being away from the social media platform for a year.
The 29-year-old actor, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, has reactivated the IG account because they were "given no choice."
"It’s actually kind of amazing how I’ve broken the habit [of using Instagram]. I don’t have anything in my brain that’s like: 'I wonder what’s happening on Instagram?'" Emma told Variety.
The Crown star further said, "It was work [that made me return] I was kind of given no choice in the world we live in today. But I was like: 'You know what? It’s not a hill worth dying on. Make the best of it.'
"It’s really nice knowing that like, I’m a nonbinary person on Instagram and even if it’s just helping one person to see that, that’s worth it," they added.
Emma's initial post featured an image of them dressed in a wedding dress.
"Ur fave queer bride," they captioned the post.
Elsewhere in the interview, Emma also talked about playing Princess Diana in Netflix's hit series, The Crown.
“I don’t think roles like that come along often," they said. "I’ve had parts since that I’ve been so fond of, but there was something about that, and about her, that just — it felt different and it feels different."
