WASHINGTON: The United States on Tuesday condemned the attack which took place on Quetta's Police Training Centre in which 59 cadets were martyred and 116 were injured.
The United States Spokesperson for the Department of State John Kirby addressed a press briefing and expressed sympathy for the cadets who were martyred in the attack as well as those who had been injured.
"In this difficult hour, we are with the people and government of Pakistan," said Kirby.
Kirby said that the United States was working with Pakistan in order to thwart terrorism and militancy.
On Monday night, militants attacked the Police Training Centre in Quetta and martyred 59 cadets and injured as many as 116. Security forces cleared the area and killed one militant after an intense operation which lasted for four hours.
