LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board M Shaharyar Khan has given a green signal to Umar Akmal for playing international cricket again for Pakistan.
While talking to media here on Wednesday, the PCB chairman said that Umar Akmal, who was not included in the national team for his ill-manner, is ashamed of his attitude and assured him not to violate discipline in future.
Shaharyar Khan said that he has told the management that Umar may be selected in the team.
He said that he will now call Ahmed Shehzad also and talk to him.
The PCB chairman also defended Mohammad Hafeez, who miserably failed in the Test series, and said that he is a senior player and has been selected for batting at number three or four.
Umar Akmal said that he had thanked the chairman for encouraging him and promised to be careful in future.
