Savannah Guthrie makes another emotional plea to Nancy's kidnappers
Savannah Guthrie has been renewing calls for an update on Nancy
Savannah Guthrie is again pleading with Nancy's captors to do the right thing.
“We just want our mom home [to] give her a proper goodbye,” she said on her TODAY show.
Her remarks come in response to Allison Janney, the actress who won an Emmy for The Diplomat.
She has long raised her voice for Savannah and her mom, Nancy.
In the Emmy press room, when asked about the daughter-and-mom duo, Janney said, “I honestly can say I think about her every day and think about the loss and what Savannah and her family are going through.”
She continued, "It truly just took over. I don’t think I’m alone too. I think all of America was thinking about her.”
When host Willie Geist put on display Janney's remarks at TODAY, Savannah responded, “Yeah, I was so touched to see her do that. It was her moment of her triumph and for her to sit and just take a moment and think about our family.”
She added, “I never let a moment pass, if I get one, to talk about my mom and how much we miss her and love her, my whole family, my sister and my brother and I and all of our extended families, we’re in such pain."
Nancy has been missing since Feb.1.
